To be a candidate for full time Child and Youth Worker positions you must meet the following criteria:

Minimum 2 year college diploma as either a Child and Youth Worker, Social Service Worker, Correctional Worker or a related discipline
Related work experience in residential treatment and/or exposure to highly aggressive children and youth
Provide a Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Consent to a Child Welfare System check
Provide a doctor’s note stating that you are fit to work in a residential setting
Provide evidence of up-to-date immunization
Provide a copy of your driver’s license
Provide a Ministry of Transportation Driver’s Abstract
Be able to successfully complete a use of physical restraint training program (UMAB)
