Our ResidencesHawk Residential Care and Treatment Homes operates three treatment residences in the City of Kawartha Lakes, two are located in the Oakwood area; one in the Town of Lindsay. The two Oakwood residences are located together on a large rural property surrounded by farmland. The property includes ample recreation space, an on-site swimming pool, basketball net and trampoline. 10 minutes from Lindsay, the two programs easily access resources in the Town of Lindsay while providing a quiet and rural location for residential treatment programs. Hawk I: OakwoodThe Hawk I Residence is an 8 bed residence providing medium to long-term care to girls ages 6-17 with emotional, behavioural, mental health and developmental issues. The Hawk I Residence provides a highly structured, home-like environment and Section 23 School to children and youth who would benefit from group treatment with a 3 staff to 8 resident ratio. Although normally operating as an 8 bed residence, Hawk I is licensed as a 9 bed program: The additional bed is available to accommodate transitions to alternate placements and/or providing a short-term assessment bed to support CAS Resources. Hawk II: OakwoodThe Hawk II Residence is an 8-bed residence providing medium to long term care to boys and girls ages 6-17 with emotional, behavioural, mental health and developmental issues. The Hawk II Residence provides a highly structured, home-like environment and Section 23 School to children and youth who would benefit from group treatment with a 3 staff to 8 resident ratio. Lindsay ResidenceThe Caroline Street program is located close to downtown Lindsay beside the scenic Trent-Severn Waterway. The program accesses the Lindsay Recreational Complex, the Boys and Girls Club, GAMIING (Centre for Sustainable Lakeshore Living) and other in-town resources. The Caroline Street Residence is an 8-bed residence providing medium to long-term care to boys ages 6-17 with emotional, behavioural, mental health and developmental issues. The Caroline Street Residence provides a highly structured, home-like environment and Section 23 School to children and youth who would benefit from group treatment with a 3 to 8, staff to resident ratio.
